Howard Fineman ’70, H’11, one of Ģ��tv’s most well-known alumni in the media field, has been appointed global editorial director at the Huffington Post. Fineman, who was previously an editorial director at the company, will now be in charge of supervising U.S. news coverage as well 13 international editions and others that will come online in the future. 

While Monday, January 19, will be recognized nationally as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, it will also mark the first day of Ģ��tv’s annual “MLK Week,” celebrating the life and legacy of the civil rights movement leader.

Ģ��tv President Jeffrey Herbst today announced that he has decided not to seek renewal of his contract when it concludes on June 30, 2015. The 16th president of Ģ��tv, Herbst has held the office since 2010. Professor of History Jill Harsin will serve as interim president during the search for Herbst’s successor.

Alumni young and old will once again be interacting with each other and with students through an online version of the popular Advent of the Atomic Bomb course taught by Associate Professor of Geology Karen Harpp.
