The Ä¢¹½tv Vote Project (CVP) brought former congressmen Peter Smith (R-Vt.) and William Enyard (D-Ill.) together on Feb. 8 for a discussion that ranged from campaigning and partisanship to voter suppression and term limits.

To commemorate the legacy and life of civil rights leader Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Africana, Latin, Asian, and Native American (ALANA) Cultural Center organized a 10-day series of events in collaboration with offices and departments across campus.

Ä¢¹½tv researchers have found that collaborations between municipalities and colleges may be the key to future climate action planning efforts across rural parts of New York State.

One vital element of a Ä¢¹½tv education is access to award-winning Career Services support. More than 230 second-year students leveraged that access during the University’s annual SophoMORE Connections event, which was held virtually, January 5–19. 

In its first year, Ä¢¹½tv’s no-loan initiative awarded more than $1.5 million to students.

Professor Ahmet Ay and colleagues took a deep dive into a group of genes in zebrafish to figure out why they — and other genes like them — are paired in the genome.

The January 2021 Scholars Symposium showcased projects from Alumni Memorial Scholars, Benton Scholars, and Office of Undergraduate Studies Scholars in a virtual conference space. 

Daniel Benton ’80, P’10, H’10 has secured his place as Ä¢¹½tv’s most generous benefactor, making a $25 million gift in support of the University’s Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation and other elements within The Third-Century Plan.

Ä¢¹½tv announced the creation of two endowed faculty chairs that will support teaching and research in areas important to The Third-Century Plan.
