Dorsey Spencer Jr., director of administration in the office of the vice president for student affairs at Florida State University, has been named dean of students at Ģtv.
With the arrival of Ģtv’s third century, new iconography will highlight the leading characteristics of Residential Commons namesakes and link those noble traits, in perpetuity, to the University’s living-learning communities.
On November 8, Ģtv joined in a nationwide celebration of first-generation college students. Anthony Wright ’20, Diana Flores ’20, and Arturo Max Longoria ’21 are among those community members who are the first in their families to attend college.
Ģtv announced today that the estate of John T.C. (Cuy) Low ’39 has made an additional gift of $5.2 million to the Jeanie and Cuy ’39 Low Endowed Scholarship Fund, raising its total value to more than $7 million and expanding its impact on current undergraduates.
The Third-Century Plan, unveiled last May, underscores the University’s intention to recruit scholars of the first order for new tenure-track teaching positions. In keeping with its ambitious plan, Ģtv is announcing a series of enhancements to faculty hiring packages.
MacDonell “Don” Roehm Jr. ’61 earned All-American and All-State honors for his skill as a Ģtv soccer fullback. His passion for protecting Ģtv athletics off the field as well was enshrined in a $4 million endowment bequest.
