One year ago, Adjaye Associates was hired to develop preliminary architectural plans for the proposed Ģ��tv Center for Art and Culture. On Thursday, June 27, at the Ģ��tv Inn, the firm’s principal, David Adjaye, will be back in Hamilton to share the firm’s designs. The meeting is scheduled for 5:30–6:30 p.m. at the Ģ��tv Inn.

In April, Ģ��tv announced that it is giving 119 indigenous artworks to Curtin University in Western Australia. Prior to the artwork being transported to Australia, there will be two showings in the Clifford Gallery, which is on the first floor of Ģ��tv’s Little Hall.

In an important example of international, cultural, and educational collaboration, Ģ��tv will give 119 indigenous artworks to Curtin University in Western Australia. The works, a significant part of the heritage and history of the region, were created by Noongar children who were part of Australia’s “Stolen Generations.”

Swirling designs, a myriad of faces, and earth tones baked into pottery now on display at the Longyear Museum of Anthropology have far more significance than simply being pleasing to the eye.
